Because not EVERY post has to be about the law, here’s some great information about the Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival of 2015 this weekend in Torrance! This is a great FREE, family-friendly festival, and it’s always a lot of fun.
This is the 3rd Cherry Blossom Festival
The Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival began just 3 years ago in 2012. Torrance did once enjoy the Oodles of Noodles festival, which the city was forced to cut because of budget. The city replaced Oodles of Noodles with the annual Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival, which has been a successful and growing event for the community.
The Cherry Blossom Festival is based on similar festivals in Japan where you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, your chairs, your dog (on a leash), and enjoy the events.
There will be free entertainment, activities, and kids activities. There are also crafts for purchase. They also have food from local vendors and food trucks for buying and trying.
The festival enjoys the 110 cherry trees that Soka Gakkai International, a Buddhist organization, donated over the last 10+ years.
The cherry blossoms don’t last long, so come out and enjoy the day!
